Molly Read
Molly believes that therapy deepens our understanding of how lived experiences and interpersonal relationships inform who we are. When this understanding is awakened, we increase our self-acceptance and self-empathy. Therapeutic change isn't about changing who we are. It's about forgiving ourselves, accepting ourselves, and caring about ourselves, so that we can transform our relationship with our inner self and the world around us.
Molly’s approach to counselling is relational, strengths-based, trauma-informed, and non-judgemental. Her therapeutic approach is informed by psychodynamic theory, Narrative Therapy and Structural Family Therapy. Molly also has experience with Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT). She responds with flexibility and insight to the concerns of each unique client.
Our interpersonal relationships give our lives meaning, and we understand ourselves better when we understand the relationships that define us.
Molly sees individual teens, adults & parents as well as couples & families.
Molly practises at our Runnymede & Bloor location.
