Julie Ochman
Julie Ochman is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. She works with adults navigating complex family histories, relational trauma, and the quiet exhaustion of people-pleasing and self-abandonment. Many of her clients grew up managing other people’s emotions or keeping the peace, and carry that into adulthood as difficulty setting boundaries, chronic self-doubt, or a sense that their own needs don’t count.
Julie is warm, curious, and collaborative. She helps you understand your patterns as things that formed for good reason, and offers a space where you can stop taking care of everyone else for an hour and focus on yourself. Her work is trauma-informed, paced to your nervous system, and draws on Internal Family Systems, somatic, psychodynamic, and attachment-based approaches. She has a particular interest in working with highly sensitive people and folks whose challenges date back to complex childhood experiences. She offers affirming, inclusive care for all sexual orientations and gender identities.
Outside the office, you’ll find her with her dog, in the kitchen cooking something she can’t wait to eat, or at a coffee shop enjoying a good cup of coffee.
Julie sees individual teens & adults, as well as couples & families.
Julie practises at our Runnymede & Bloor location and Danforth & Chester location.
