Marlie Standen
Marlie is humbled by the opportunity to join her clients on their journeys towards wellbeing, self-understanding, and personal growth. Marlie has over six years of experience supporting individuals struggling with stress, anxiety, burnout, depression, self-criticism, relationship issues, ADHD, insomnia, and trauma. Marlie’s presence is warm, calming and welcoming. She cultivates a space where clients can deepen and strengthen their relationship with themselves and actualize their goals for change.
Marlie’s approach is trauma-informed, attachment-aware and strengths-based. Marlie is passionate about the mind-body connection and her approach incorporates all realms of experiencing - cognitive, emotional and somatic. Marlie uses an integrated approach uniquely fitted to each client’s needs. Her work draws on various evidence-based approaches, including: internal family systems, acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, mindfulness-based therapies, body-based counselling strategies and cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Marlie additionally has two levels of training in cognitive behavioural therapy for insomnia (CBT-I), which is the first line of treatment for chronic insomnia disorder.
Marlie sees individual teens, adults, older adults and families.
Marlie practices virtually and her services are not available in person at this time.
